Mostar: A Hub of Sun and Fun

This one-day trip to the southern city of Mostar will awaken all your senses: from the astonishing sights of the canyon of the Neretva River that cuts through the city, to the sounds of the bustling production and sale of handicrafts in the oriental-style Old Town, located on the banks of the river. As you walk through the center of Mostar with our guide, you will learn about the rich history of this sunny oasis. The city will enchant you not only visually but also with the smells of juicy Mediterranean dishes coming from the numerous restaurants we will pass by during the walk. But don’t worry, we will stop in one of them – this unique experience will be completed by tasting a delicious local gastronomic specialty.

Details

Mostar trip details.

Mostar is situated on the Neretva River and is the fifth-largest city in the country. Mostar was named after the bridge keepers (mostari) who in the medieval times guarded the Stari Most (Old Bridge) over the Neretva. The Old Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, built by the Ottomans in the 16th century, is one of Bosnia and Herzegovina's most visited landmarks, and is considered an exemplary piece of Islamic architecture in the Balkans. Mostar is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and a one-day trip is the perfect opportunity to discover that part of the country.
