The Humanitarian Association of Women "Duga" is celebrating 30 years of successful work this year. In addition to the humanitarian work "Duga" works diligently on the preservation of intangible cultural heritage through the transfer of knowledge to young people through the production of handicrafts. Preservation of cultural heritage has been transformed into a tourist offer. When we talk about "Duga", we can say that its offer is interesting for both domestic and foreign tourists. regardless of whether their visit is an individual or group visit. Dugina Our Ethno gallery, which is located in the city center, is a destination where in addition to sightseeing and eventual souvenirs shopping, you get a complete story from the head of the Gallery about the handcrafts created in the Ethno workshop "Duga". In addition to souvenirs, we also offer clothing and household textiles, all decorated with Zmijanje embroidery, and other types of embroidery from different regions. Besides embroidery, we also offer handicrafts made with different techniques of weaving, knitting, and crocheting. Each work is accompanied by a story in the local and English language. Since the end of 2019, when we equipped "Duga Ethno House", tourists who visit Banjaluka have the opportunity to participate in the Zmijanje embroidery Workshop. Zmijanje embroidery has been on the UNESCO list of world intangible cultural heritage since 2014, as the first intangible cultural asset from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Many television shows, articles in print and electronic media in Bosnia and Herzegovina have promoted and are promoting Duga´s handicrafts and other activities,  with a special emphasis on Zmijanje Embroidery since 2014. In addition to domestic and foreign tourists, Duga was visited by high world officials, members of royal families, prominent domestic and foreign scientists, and artists, as is evidencedin our Book of Impressions. We are aware that in tourism it is not enough to have only good quality product, it is also very important to tell a story about that product and in thus offer it to customers. When we talk about out tourist product "Zmijanje embroidery Workshop", we can say that: - We take care of the safety of our users. Workshops are held in a bright space that has two exits if needed. - Hygiene of the toilet and kitchen is at the highest level. - Space is big enough to receive bigger groups. - Embroidery instructors have many years of experience (as a professor or a teacher) and always have stories of encouragement for those participants who might struggle at the beginning. - The workshop lasts 2 hours and stay in Duga  2 ½ hours. Before the start of the workshop, with coffee and cakes, the participants of the workshop can hear a short story about the Zmijanje Embroidery, its history, ornamentation, color, material being worked on, and making techniques. - Our workshops are intended for people regardless of gender and age (lower limit 7 years, the upper age limit is not set) - We are ready to adjust workshops at the request of the tour operator - Our space has an internet connection - Our customers can pay for the purchased handicrafts with a card. - If the user travels with children and wishes to attend our workshop, our members will take care of children in an adequate way (drawing, making greeting cards, decoupage, etc., depending on the interests of the child) - If necessary, we can hire our volunteers as translators for the workshop. - Some of our members are also members of cultural and artistic societies or singing groups, so we can sometimes organize a surprise for our users (if it is a larger group of workshop participants).
